Golf Coaching & Classes in Melbourne using S.N.A.G

SNAG: Starting. New. At. Golf

Snag golf is a modified version of traditional golf. The clubs & balls are modified to be used in smaller spaces, indoors and in a whole host of different areas. What's great about snag golf is that it makes golf fun!

It uses bright colors, targets and fast. We have adapted the approach to our program and run Golf programs for schools, elc's and holiday programs.

Check out some of the action below and if you would like to book one of our golf coaches in Melbourne, get in touch at info@fitforkidsco.com.au

Girls kicking goals in Australian Sport

Go Girls!

In recent years, many of the Australian sporting bodies have begun to give the proper attention to female participation and engagement in our national sports. Cricket, Tennis & now  AFL have all created amazing pathways to get more girls playing more often, and we think this is just great!

Female participation now makes up for 27% of all AFL players within Australia according to the AFL. It is so great that from 2017, Women will have their own AFL national competition and broadcasting.

The AFL have clearly identified that increasing inclusion and participation within the sport is positive for so many reasons, from our point of view its simply that the more people that can get out and active the better, period.

Having new role models for girls on the field will encourage more females to get out and have a go at kicking the footy, and this is just great for Australia. Well done to the AFL for taking on the female league in 2017.

We hope to continue to see more girls playing more often and encourage all parents to take a look at some of these new sports avialable to your kids!

Why get up & active?

Getting out early in the morning is not only a great way to start the day (as it gets the blood flowing & energy up!) but has also been proven to increase energy throughout the day.

Do you ever get up early and go jogging or do something active, thinking that you will likely be more tired by the end of the day, only to find you actually have more energy? This is often the case as this early morning energy release will actually help prime the body for the day and allow you to use more of that valuable energy throughout it.

In numerous studies over the years, it has been found that the most successful people in business, sport & life are often early risers and 'active risers' (they exercise first thing in the morning).

This is why we believe that getting your kids out and active in the morning is the best possible thing you can do for them to not only boost their mood and energy, but actually improve their ability to perform in school.

Mindfulness for children - Breathing Exercise

Mindfulness has a transformative nature that allows children (and adults) to truly let go of stress tension, anxiety and worry. What this practise is doing for schools and communities is incredible and we at Fit For Kids Co. are such big proponents of its benefits to kids.

Just a simple breathing exercise can be enough to dramatically alter your state or mood, through mindfulness. This is something that children can begin to use in school and in the playground to improve behaviour and reduce tension with other students.

Below is a great video about controlling emotion and regulating breathe through the practise,

Enjoy.
